British art historian, curator and writer Julia Bailey has been the head of Prague’s Galerie Rudolfinum for two and a half years. Last month saw the publication of her book Painting Paranoia: Cold War Art and Anti-Communism. When we spoke at our studios, the conversation took in everything from her institution not having a permanent collection to the fact it shares the grand Rudolfinum with the Czech Philharmonic.
